ÈýÒÚÌåÓý¹ÙÍø

John Burklow is Chief of Staff of the National Institutes of Health (ÈýÒÚÌåÓý¹ÙÍø). Mr. Burklow provides strategic counsel to key leaders within the ÈýÒÚÌåÓý¹ÙÍø and creates and maintains cross-departmental relationships within the Department of Health and Human Services. He serves as liaison with a number of stakeholders, helps monitor and manage information flow for the ÈýÒÚÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Director, and takes on cross-cutting special projects. As Chief of Staff, Mr. Burklow also oversees the Immediate Office of the ÈýÒÚÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Director, the ÈýÒÚÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Office of the Executive Secretariat and the ÈýÒÚÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Ombudsman’s Office.

Before assuming the position of Chief of Staff, Mr. Burklow served as ÈýÒÚÌåÓý¹ÙÍø’s Associate Director for Communications and Public Liaison and Director of the ÈýÒÚÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Office of Communications and Public Liaison from 2002–2021. Mr. Burklow has held progressive leadership positions at ÈýÒÚÌåÓý¹ÙÍø since joining the National Cancer Institute in 1986.
